In His Word, God shows us over and over that He cares for single moms. We can look at His promises and know that He makes those promises to us, today. Let’s find encouragement and strength in His promises today.
Strength
When we are weary and don’t know how to keep going, we need to remember that we are not doing it in our own power. We have access to the power of God, just as he promised.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Isaiah 40:29
Help
Sometimes all we want is a hand to hold. Someone to walk with us on this journey. How completely amazing to know that God himself holds our hand and has promised to help us.
For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Isaiah 41:13
Wisdom
We need to know how to help our kids, lead and guide them well, and manage all of this on our own. God has promised to give us wisdom for every step of this journey. All we have to do is ask.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
Provision
God doesn’t just care for our spiritual needs. He cares about the physical needs we face, too. Whether it’s medical bills, empty cupboards, or help with our kids, God has promised to supply every single need.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Peace
No matter what we are facing today, God has promised us His peace. His overwhelming peace in the middle of any circumstance. We can rest in that today.
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
We have hope because He who promised is faithful.
